Pentax refreshes its rugged camera lineup with the Optio WG-2 series

Pentax refreshes its rugged camera lineup with the Optio WG-2 series
Exactly twelve months after the unveiling of the Optio WG-1 family, Pentax is now introducing the successors to its colorful and ruggedized shooters. And while its macho design hasn't changed much, the newcomers usher in a host of predictable spec bumps. The new all-terrain shooters are sporting a 16-megapixel, back-illuminated CMOS sensor, 1080p (30fps) movie mode, micro-HDMI for when you feel like sharing your adventures and a 3-inch, 460,000 -dot LCD to help you frame your shots. Of course, this wouldn't fall under the rugged category if it couldn't handle anything you threw at it, which is why any WG-2 is waterproof up to 40 feet, shock-resistant and dustproof. If you're thinking about taking one of these on the trails with you, be ready to unleash around $350 for the unguided model or about $50 more for a GPS-enabled number. Neither will be available until March, so you'll have to wait a while, but in the meantime we've got the full PR below along with some press shots.

Nikon D800 slips out for an early bird preview, to be officially unveiled tomorrow?

We've seen Nikon's successor to the D700 slip out a few times this past winter, but this latest leak and its bevy of press images might just be the real deal. According to Brazilian site ZTOP, the company's set to officially debut its 36.3 megapixel D800 tomorrow. So, what's on the spec list? Well, it looks like those rumors were true, as this high-end DSLR apparently boasts that aforementioned CMOS sensor capable of 7360 x 4912 resolution and the ability to toggle ISO from 100 - 6,400. As you'd imagine, this high-end, digital light box also comes equipped with the ability for full 1080p30 HD video capture, recording content in either H.264 or MPEG-4 formats. Naturally, there's also a 3.2-inch LCD screen onboard so you can sift through your sizeable gallery of stills. While we still caution you to take this news with a nigh invisible grain of salt, it's likely all will be revealed in one day's time. Check out the source below for additional shots.

Tweet This Sydney, Australia, February 4, 2012 - Online Appliances Australia, Executives at Aus-Appliances, an Australian appliances retailer, today announced the business has launched a new website to better serve its customers. Aus-Appliances is a family operated company which has been in business for close to twenty years and has established a solid reputation for providing low prices and friendly and personal service to all of its customers.

Aus-Appliances is one of only a few online appliances retailers which offers low prices and free delivery on large units for customers who live in the Sydney metro area and free shipping throughout Australia on small units. The company's leadership team is so confident that their prices are the lowest in Australia that they offer a price match guarantee on the off-chance that one of their prices aren't the lowest on an identical appliance.

Online Appliances Australia

In addition to the new website, the online appliances retailer also launched a blog where the company's executive team publishes timely and informative articles on some of the most popular appliances which are available in Australia. Each article which is posted on the blog is well researched and well written so readers can always go back to the site and find something for their needs.

The website currently offers a list of featured products that have marked down prices. People in search of affordable appliances might want to grab this opportunity to purchase appliances that are priced low enough for the average homeowner to be able to afford.

Popular appliance brands such as Delonghi, Dimplex, Omega, Breville, Haier, Panasonic, Kelvinator, Samsung and many more household names are available on the website so everyone has a lot of options to choose from.

There are also hot deal items and extended warranty plans for certain appliances. Another fantastic promo that the website currently offers is a resort getaway promo wherein buyers who spend $500 can also get a $500 bonus resort check. Customers therefore spend less while at the same time get the chance to spend a relaxing resort getaway.

The company has won numerous small business awards since it was founded in 1994 and in 2011; Aus-Appliances won the Sealy independent dealer of the year award. Visit the website to find the best deals, awesome appliances and fun promos.

The Podcast Fundamentals For Online Businesses | New Topics

Podasting as a marketing tool just flat-out works, yet you still hardly see many IM marketers using it. Video marketing is all the rage, now, and perhaps that is one reason for this. But the flip side to all this is that you can still achieve some impressive marketing results by podcasting. Podcasts have their own unique benefits such as ease of creation, their own highly-trafficked directories, millions of potential listeners, and much more. If you want to make money online you need to develop a devoted audience and having your own podcast can help you do that. If you want to know how to record podcasts for popularity, then keep reading.

Always add your old podcasts to an archive so any new subscribers can take advantage of them. If people start to really like your podcast they will recommend you to others. When that happens, then your new listeners can check-out your archived podcasts. If you create an archive of your podcasts, and then publish it, you?ll have a valuable source of content that continues to grow. The thing about it is that your archives will be just one more source that will help you grow your business. Developing high quality podcasts is highly recommended because you want people to listen to them and respond favorably. Most blogging software has built in archiving!

Include different things. Your instinct might be just to talk for ten minutes or so. This is certainly easy to do. At the same time, it is very boring to listen to. So what you?ll do is break-up your audio with effects found in your software. Another idea that works well is the use of music to break things up. Look for music published under creative commons licensing because that will enable you to use the music, legally. Just think in terms of breaking it all up into good chunks so people will not be bored with it.

Publishing regularly and creating a regular schedule for podcast publishing is important, especially when you are starting out. You do want people to look forward to your next podcast, so then you can train them to do that with regular publishing. This is so important to creating and developing a strong base of listeners and subscribers. It?s a behavioral aspect, and you want to develop that sense of expectation in your listeners. So just assess your situation and see what kind of schedule you can do. You can accomplish the same things with podcasting as you can with articles and other methods. You can engage in relationship marketing as well as cast a wider marketing net. A podcast, once it has a dedicated following, can be a very valuable marketing tool. When you get to the point where people trust you, then you can market to them very effectively and profitably.

There is more content available about coffee maker there is plenty of information not detailed in this article, take a look at Author?s blog to locate more.

HBT: Cubs likely to wait to trade Garza

The Cubs have been dangling Matt Garza on the trade market all winter. But they clearly haven?t been blown away by any one offer, and may now put the whole effort to rest for the next couple of months.

A major league executive told FOX Sports? Jon Paul Morosi this weekend that the Cubs are ?more likely? to move Garza at the July 31 trade deadline than before the start of the 2012 regular season.

Garza registered a solid 3.32 ERA and 1.26 WHIP in 31 starts last season, striking out 197 batters and issuing only 63 walks across 198 innings of work.

The 28-year-old right-hander will make a $9.5 million salary this year in his second-to-last season of arbitration eligibility. If he gets off to a hot start in 2012, trade interest could be very high come late July.
